The ASKIN Cleanroom and Physical Containment Laboratory CPD Presentation focuses on the specialised and growing sector of the architectural field. The presentation focus is on the requirements of the Cleanroom Sector (AS2243) and relevant performance requirements of the National Construction Code.

Objectives

  • Define a Controlled Environment – Understand the key characteristics and importance of controlled environments.
  • Understand Construction Requirements – Identify the key construction needs for controlled environments.
  • Classify Clean Room Types – Differentiate clean room types based on PC, BSL, and QC standards.
  • Interpret NCC Standards – Apply NCC requirements for fire safety, thermal performance, structure, and airtightness.
  • Identify Suitable Construction Materials – Recognise materials appropriate for building controlled environments.
